Job Description

The Endoscope Reprocessing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of endoscopic procedures by meticulously cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopic equipment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of sterile processing techniques and medical terminology. The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of endoscopes and related instruments according to established protocols. Manage inventory of endoscopic equipment and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained. Adhere to aseptic techniques during the reprocessing of instruments to prevent contamination. Document all reprocessing activities accurately in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper handling and usage of endoscopic equipment. Stay updated on the latest best practices in sterile processing and endoscope reprocessing techniques. Conduct routine inspections of equipment for functionality and report any issues promptly.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience or training in sterile processing techniques is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
