Position Summary:
This position is to provide supervision of the warehouse and accurately prepare and deliver merchandise from warehouse stock to department throughout the facility while maintaining an adequate level of security to eliminate any chance of contraband entering the facility. The purpose is to assist in maintaining a working level of supplies to ensure proper productivity. The goal is to modify the behavior of those residents assigned to the warehouse area so that they may re-enter society in an acquired skill and become productive members.
Supervises and evaluates one storekeeper specialist in the management and operation of the main store warehouse. Coordinates each area of the main store warehouse to assure efficiency in the overall supply function.
Responsible for the receipt of all incoming freight. Assures the accountability of supplies by preparing and reviewing all receiving reports.
Supervises the completion of inventory and stock records of the consumable supplies maintained in the Main Store Warehouse. Accuracy of the inventory system is vital so as not to allow the institution to run out of necessary supplies.
Develops a delivery schedule ensuring the utmost efficiency of internal deliveries both in timing and routing.
Coordinates with the Chouteau Store, Castle Cuisine and Aramark personnel regarding internal deliveries which are made by Main Store Warehouse staff as well as incoming deliveries made by Main Store Warehouse staff as incoming deliveries made by outside vendors.
Coordinates with the E Dorm Unit Team Manager for hire of eligible and acceptable resident workers. Evaluates the resident workers daily work habits and provides instruction and guidance on acceptable work behavior so they may develop appropriate skills for outside employment.
Obtains inventory statistics from receiving reports and inventory/stock reports to complete a monthly inventory and usage report ensuring accuracy for budgetary purposes and maintaining stock levels.
: One year of experience in storekeeping, including receiving, inspecting, cataloging, and storing goods and maintaining inventory records. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Must take and pass a drug screening test approved the Division of Personnel Services unless the incumbent is moving from one safety-sensitive position to another safety-sensitive position within the same agency performing substantially similar duties. May be required to pass a background check.
