McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Intern Summer 2024 in located at 24 Schilling Road, Hunt Valley, Maryland. This is a 10-week internship (June 2024 - August 2024) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

This internship opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of the supply chain function in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects and gain valuable insights into the intricacies of the Consumer Package Goods (CPG) supply chain.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting: Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Generate reports and dashboards to provide meaningful insights to support decision-making processes.

2. Demand Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to contribute to the demand planning and forecasting process. Assist in analyzing historical data, market trends, and promotional activities to support accurate demand forecasts.

3. Inventory Management: Support the inventory management team in optimizing inventory levels while ensuring product availability and minimizing stockouts. Assist in analyzing inventory data, conducting inventory audits, and proposing strategies to reduce excess or obsolete inventory.

4. Logistics and Distribution: Gain exposure to the logistics and distribution processes within the CPG industry. Assist in coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, and managing relationships with carriers and logistics providers. Contribute to optimizing transportation routes and costs.

5. Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as suppliers, production teams, and customer service, to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the supply chain. Assist in addressing any supply chain-related issues and supporting the resolution of operational challenges.

6. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for optimization and proposing innovative solutions. Collaborate with teams to implement changes, monitor performance metrics, and evaluate the effectiveness of improvement efforts.

7. Cross-functional Projects: Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to gain exposure to different areas of the business. Collaborate with teams such as procurement, quality assurance, and packaging to understand their roles within the supply chain and contribute to project deliverables.

Requirements:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward.

- Interest in the CPG industry and familiarity with supply chain concepts and processes.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Availability to work full-time during the summer internship period.
