Summary:

The Supply Chain Coordinator serves as the primary resource to various clinical departments with regards to providing access to the necessary supplies and equipment including the integration of new supplies and the demonstration of equipment for review. Responsible for placing routine purchase orders directly with vendors by following a cost-conscious purchasing strategy. The Supply Chain Coordinator will actively lead and communicate all materials distribution across the continuum. Responsible for reconciling invoices and posting batches on time and in accordance with payment terms. This position works collaboratively with Supply Chain Assistants, Specialists, Team Leads, and Director.

Essential Job Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Utilize purchasing systems to generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently and properly submit to vendors.

\xc2\xb7 Review quotations and ensure Mary Free Bed is receiving best price prior to submitting purchase orders.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate and communicate all materials distribution across the continuum.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels.

\xc2\xb7 Reconciles coded invoices and post batches on time and in accordance with established payment terms.

\xc2\xb7 Actively review invoices prior to posting to ensure contract compliance and that Mary Free Bed is receiving accurate pricing for all products.

\xc2\xb7 Utilize the benefits of Mary Free Bed\xe2\x80\x99s Group Purchasing Organization to leverage pricing with supply vendors.

\xc2\xb7 Connect with vendor sales representative to review products and equipment as well as establish more efficient workflows.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor all departmental expenditures with a responsibility of staying within/below budget on a monthly and fiscal basis.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate all equipment repairs by following the Biomedical Electrical Equipment Program and vendor process to ensure a timely and effective repair.

\xc2\xb7 Collaboratively work with inter-departments on developing training and education to achieve increased clinical compliance with chargeable products.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for all chargeable products and actively reviewing product pricing to ensure internal compliance.

\xc2\xb7 Actively research and connect with vendors on new products and equipment, schedule demonstrations and provide in-service programs as needed/requested by leadership.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with Supply Chain Assistants on maintaining the Supply Chain presentation and conducting of new nursing staff training during nursing orientation period.

\xc2\xb7 Support and assist Supply Chain assistants as necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Provides input on operational policies and procedures directly related to the Supply Chain function at Mary Free Bed.

Essential Job Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Associates Degree in Materials Management, Business or similar degree or equivalent experience, preferably for a healthcare facility.

\xc2\xb7 Organizational and communication skills.

\xc2\xb7 Initiative/ability to work independently.

\xc2\xb7 Flexible / variable schedule, to include weekend hours.

\xc2\xb7 Professional mannerism in dealing with nursing staff, physicians, allied health professionals, patients, visitors, SMH staff and/or vendors.

\xc2\xb7 Computer skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree - Materials Management, Business or similar degree preferred.

\xc2\xb7 B.L.S. certification.
