Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate in IDEXX's Westbrook distribution center, you may perform a variety of tasks including receiving our products, and picking, packing, loading, and shipping our products to national customers and distribution centers. You will ensure the accuracy of documentation and shipments, and troubleshoot and resolve issues as required while maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and environment.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 1st shift position, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm



This position is eligible for a $1 pay differential for driving a forklift once certified through our in-house training program!

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



Inspect and unload inbound freight, using PIT equipment.



Receive raw materials as well as finished goods into inventory using SAP software and RF handheld scanner.



Prepares shipments for inter-plant transfers.



Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and environment



Investigate and resolve inventory inaccuracies and provide root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective actions



Supports inventory processes, solutions, and strategies for the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and order fulfillment quality; includes cycle counts, data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting, and reporting



Moves and stores equipment, raw materials, and inventory for internal customers



Supports instrument repair process including daily and routine shipping and receiving.



Complete IDEXX-provided PIT training and maintain operators' certification.

Education



A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Required Skills and Abilities



Ability to work well under pressure and tight time constraints



Ability to effectively function in a team environment



Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously



Good computer skills and knowledge including SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel preferred



Excellent customer service skills



Ability to work flexible hours



Able to follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable ISO regulations



Able to properly lift up to 70 pounds; ability to move up to 100 pounds with assistance



A certificate to operate a forklift may be required; a certificate to work with hazardous materials may be required; knowledge of export documentation and international traffic may be required; previous experience with dangerous goods is preferred; knowledge of customs rules, regulations, and export documentation preferred

Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing may be required



Moderate to high noise level



While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to risk of electrical shock.
