ABOUT THIS POSITION

The City of Phoenix Water Services Department is one of the largest and most respected potable water utilities in the nation and delivers safe, reliable drinking water to over 1.5 million customers across 540 square miles. In addition to water delivery, we manage the sewer collection system and treat wastewater for 2.5 million residents in the greater Phoenix area.
We're currently seeking a
Supplies Supervisor
to lead a critical warehouse operation that supports the maintenance and repair of vital water infrastructure. In this role, you'll oversee the procurement, receipt, inspection, inventory control, and distribution of materials and supplies for a 24/7 operation. You'll also develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient warehousing, storeroom management, and timely supply delivery.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Ideal Candidate will possess:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to effectively manage reports, communications, and inventory-related data.
The ability to excel in high-volume, fast-paced environments, particularly within parts support or warehouse operations, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation, including availability to work irregular hours, such as shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings, as operational needs arise.
SALARY
----------
Pay Range: $66,185 to $93,121 annually.
Hiring Range: $66,185 to $80,454 annually.

Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
--------------------------
Five years
of experience in warehousing, stores, and stores records activities; including
two years
of supervisory experience.
Other combinations of education and experience that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
This position requires the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus experience in/with:
Computerized inventory systems, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient supply chain operations.
SAP or similar enterprise systems for supply management, ordering, and inventory control.
Providing direct, face-to-face customer service, with a focus on responsiveness and professionalism.
Following purchasing guidelines and utilizing purchasing programs to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Supervising teams of 10 or more employees, including scheduling, performance management, and team development.
Managing multiple inventories across various locations, demonstrating strong organizational and logistical skills.
