Why does the job exist?
The Supervisor, Social Services / Prevention Staff Manager will:
Collaborate various efforts with internal staff and outside partners to ensure services are maintained effectively throughout the state with regard to prevention, treatment and recovery, and harm reduction measures;
Work closely with staff and grants to help prioritize efforts across the state and help strategically plan expansion and improvement efforts related to substance abuse disorders and prevention measures;
Work as a liaison among staff, leadership, and various partners to clearly communicate efforts, changes, requirements, and overall visions.
How does it get done?
The Supervisor, Social Services/ Prevention Staff Manager is responsible for:
Directly managing grant coordinator staff and various grant efforts related to prevention measures, opioid response, and substance abuse disorders;
Providing clear and effective communication, both written and oral, provide leadership to team, and provide fiscal management of grant funding to ensure federal and state compliance, fiscal accountability, and transparency of funding;
Working closely with staff as well as its Administrative Operations Managers and leadership for planning, projects, data collection and dissemination, and continual improvement measures.

Minimum Qualification
Associate's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Ciminology, Family Studies/Services, Social Sciences, or Human Services and two (2) years of experience as a social work assistant and/or in social or community coordination, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, and/or behavioral health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Some travel required.
