Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Manager of Imaging Services, the Supervisor of Diagnostic Radiology is responsible for the daily operations of the Diagnostic Radiology Department. This role ensures consistent delivery of high-quality imaging, staff scheduling and supervision, adherence to regulatory standards, and coordination with physicians, nursing, and ancillary departments to support patient care and workflow efficiency. Oversee daily operations within Diagnostic Radiology, including staff assignments, workflow, and equipment utilization. Supervise radiologic technologists, ensuring exams are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with ACR, NJDEP, and Joint Commission standards. Monitor department productivity and support process improvements to optimize patient throughput and satisfaction. Participate in hiring, onboarding, competency assessment, and performance evaluation for assigned staff. Maintain and communicate departmental policies and procedures, ensuring consistent adherence to safety and quality standards. Serve as a clinical and technical resource for technologists; troubleshoot and resolve operational and equipment issues. Collaborate with the Radiology Manager and Director to plan staffing schedules, manage PTO requests, and ensure adequate coverage across all shifts. Review image quality, documentation, and exam completion for accuracy within PACS and RIS systems. Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with capital equipment needs and service calls. Support education, training, and professional development of staff, students, and new hires. Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, infection control, and patient confidentiality. Act as departmental liaison during off-hour or weekend operations as assigned. Perform other duties as directed by the Manager or Director of Imaging Services.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program. NJ RT license, ARRT certification, and CPR. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Must be available for on-call and holidays.

Preferred Job Requirements:Prefer at least two years' experience in Interventional or Cath lab.


Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
