Job Summary

The Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Merchandisers and maintaining merchandising standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, teach, and coach merchandisers, conduct team meetings, provide performance feedback and evaluations. Responsible for documentation and discussions. Holds team accountable to merchandising standards.
• Ensures proper staffing to meet business demands by reviewing and finalizing service schedules each week, then assigning routes to merchandisers. Ensures adequate store coverage, proper scheduling, and customer service on weekends.
• Select new employees and provide a productive on-boarding and training experience. Assist in setting up and managing the merchandiser\'s equipment including smart phone devices.
• Manage operating expenses and labor budgets while meeting customer service needs. Reviews timekeeping records to ensure accurate payroll.
• Visits customer accounts weekly to monitor adherence to merchandising standards to ensure customer satisfaction. Complete weekly performance audits of the team.
• Develop strong internal customer relationships with other departments.
• As needed, work in the role of the Merchandiser during staffing vacancies, training new employees, and work weekends and holidays to support the customer.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of work experience required.
• Two years supervision or leadership experience preferred.
• Prior experience in consumer products or retail required.
• Intermediate computer application and technology skills; knowledge of how to operate a smart phone and/or laptop.
• Valid Driver\'s License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines including no major violations within the last three years.
• Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks and electrical forklifts.
