Job Description

Job Summary



Provides leadership and direction for designated operations and team members. Ensures that products are produced according to manufacturing/engineering specifications and forecasted demands.



Essential Job Functions *



Manages and sets production and work schedules; as well as monitors department workflow and adjusts resources as needed to accomplish objectives. Leads assigned team members to attain specific performance and development objectives, goals and expectations. Provides training, counsel and opportunity in the development of the team. Initiates, implements and documents problem solving and process improvement activities. Evaluate departmental jobs and activities to evaluate and eliminate risks. Train and coach employees in safe operations and behavior, administer corporate safety policies and procedures. Conducts periodic safety observations, audits, and reports out to employees based on the audit results. Manages data to maintain and produce accurate documentation of machine and part inventories, production reports, returned or repaired parts, and asset tracking. Conducts incident investigations to identify and correct root causes in a timely manner. Seeks cost reduction measures to reduce material costs, labor and overhead costs. Education & Experience



Associates Degree but Bachelor's Degree preferred. Three years manufacturing and supervisory experience.

Competencies - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



Strong MS Office Knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Enterprise 1 preferred. Able to learn and use in-house software applications. Strong organization and planning skills. Strong analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude preferred. Able to lead and motivate employees by guiding, training, and offering counsel.

Office setting. Seldom exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Loud working environment of the shop area. Functional vision and hearing required.
