Midwest Janitorial Service is a well-established cleaning company looking for a reliable, hard-working second-shift cleaning supervisor who wants to lead a team of 20-25 in multiple facilities.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and wants to help their staff be successful in meeting client needs and expectations. The position requires training, overseeing the completion of work, and following up on client requests. Cleaning is required as we are a cleaning company. This position requires above average attendance.

The position is primarily Monday through Friday. The second shift begins between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. The position requires a weekend rotation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Trains new employees.
Responsible for staffing assigned facilities.
Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff in their assigned section.
Conducts performance and wage evaluations.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed in accordance with company policy.
Performs quality assurance inspections and works with staff to complete client requests/concerns.
Performs cleaning tasks per custodial job description when training, responding to concerns, and/or facility staffing shortages.
Responsible for proper uses, inventory and maintenance equipment, materials, PPE, and supplies in assigned facilities.
Measures productivity by analyzing variance reports, activity reports, and labor reports. 10. Must be able to freely access all client facilities and pass required background requirements in assigned section and at any facilities on weekend rotation.
Must be able to bend, twist, squat, and lift 20 lbs. - 30 lbs. and be on feet the entire shift.
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Driving between multiple facilities is required every day.
Must pass a background check as well as client-required background checks.
Must be able to freely access client facilities.
Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.
Must adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
AA Degree Preferred but a combination of experience/education will be considered
Six months or more supervisory experience
A high degree of professionalism
Exceptional customer service skills as work performed around client
Ability to oversee staff and provide a positive environment
Ability to inspect completed work
High attention to detail
Reliable
Self-Motivated
Able to Work with Others
Above average English reading and verbal communication ability
