Bent Tree is a vibrant private gated community located in the North Georgia mountains of Pickens County. The full-service community offers an 18-hole championship golf course; Lake Tamarack featuring kayaking, fishing, and beach; a tennis/pickleball center, The Tavern and Club Tamarack restaurants; outdoor aquatics; an equestrian center and has its own water system. We are looking for a Superintendent of Water Utilities to join our team. This position reports to the Director of Operations and oversees the Water Utilities Division supervising a team of 7 employees. The key duties of this position are to oversee the daily activities of the water system in terms of in-take, out-take, and water quality monitoring. This position will play a leadership role in capital improvements to our water system infrastructure such as installing new water lines, filter replacement, pressure reducing valve replacement, pump station maintenance and storage tank maintenance. This active leader is expected to efficiently solve issues as they arise. Individuals interested in this position must possess a Class II water operator certification necessary to operate a water system within EPD regulations. Vast experience with the operations of a public or private water system is crucial. The ability to operate heavy machinery is desired. The position will offer a market competitive starting salary of $75,000-85,000 depending on experience and qualifications, benefits package featuring medical/dental/vision, 401k retirement plan, 11 paid holidays, and vacation/sick leave.
