ATI is currently looking for a Heat Treat SuperCooler Operator within our manufacturing facility in Cudahy, WI. As a SuperCooler Operator, you will be an integral part of a successful team that is responsible for producing machined in military, aerospace, oil/gas and other applications.



In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently running an automated heat treatment cell, including part preparation, part loading, furnace management, cooling, and part unloading. This position requires hands-on technical skill and strong situational awareness in a high-temperature, automated environment.



Training will be conducted on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Permanent shift will be determined after training.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate automated equipment used for heating, handling, and cooling metal parts in a controlled production environment. Review daily production schedules and prepare necessary materials and tools before each run. Set up equipment, verify correct tooling and orientations, and ensure parts are properly staged for processing. Monitor equipment screens and camera systems to track part movement and process status. Start up, run, and shut down automated processes while following established operating procedures. Load and unload parts using lifting devices and other handling equipment, ensuring accuracy and care to prevent damage. Perform visual checks and quality verifications at each stage of the process. Adjust basic process parameters or request assistance when equipment or product conditions vary. Maintain awareness of system alarms, safety interlocks, and environmental controls to ensure safe operations. Communicate effectively with team members and support staff to coordinate production flow and resolve issues. Follow all safety procedures, wear required protective equipment, and help maintain a clean, organized work area. Create move tickets after heat treatment processing is complete

Basic Qualifications

1 year of experience in a transferrable industry with transferrable skills. Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension. The ability to read instructions and perform simple measurements is critical.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent, Vo-Tech Certificate or associate degree in electrical, mechanical or another related curriculum Experience with AMS 2750 pyrometry standard Experience with hardness testing

Skills

Knowledge of heat-treating practices and procedures Knowledge/use of industrial heavy equipment Familiar with industrial furnaces and components Excellent oral and written communication skills Exceptional interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and implement long term solutions Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Keen attention to detail Ability to follow detailed instructions
