Job Description
Shores & Pines Overnight Counselor
Reports to:
Program Director and Shores or Pines DirectorQualifications:
1. At least 18 years of age2. at least 1 year out of high shool
3. Commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Work to create a positive spiritual atmosphere throughout camp
2. Be ready to guide a camper in their relationship with Christ
3. Attend pre-camp orientation, staff meetings, and drills
4. Build community and understanding among all staff members
5. Be prepared to address behavior needs of campers
6. Follow daily routine and encourage campers to do so
7. Perform such other duties as the Program Director shall assign
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Attend all meetings and trainings as required of staff
2. Work to create a positive spiritual atmosphere throughout camp
3. Be aware of camper behavioral needs, encouraging positive involvement and addressing negative behaviors, reporting concerns to leadership
4. Report all equipment and facility needs and maintenance requests
5. Function as a full member of the summer staff, participating in activities, building relationships, carrying out the ministry of GENEVA throughout the summer
6. Expect to serve two weeks in others roles as needed and assigned by the Program Director
Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per month
