Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Camp Teachers to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children during our summer programs. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children, experience in arts educational or recreational settings, and the ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to children's development while gaining valuable experience in education, childcare, and camp activities.

Responsibilities

Facilitate age-appropriate activities, art projects, and educational lessons that promote childhood development, creativity and social skills Supervise children during camp activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques Assist with daily routines such as snack time, rest periods, and transitions between activities Provide first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols to maintain a secure environment Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges as needed. Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation, teamwork, and creativity. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and campers about daily activities.

Skills

Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, K-12 settings, etc. Strong classroom management skills and behavior management techniques Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices a plus. Ability to implement engaging activities related to skills and practices in the arts. First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to start date a plus. Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive environments is a plus Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members Compassionate attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for nurturing children's growth and learning

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
