We provide housing, meals, and snacks for the whole summer! Laundry is on-site, bathrooms are inside cabins, and our lake is private.

We are so excited you found this opportunity at Camps K&E! We believe it's never too late to go to sleepaway camp, and that there's no job more fun or fulfilling than caring for and mentoring kids in a beautiful, natural setting. At K&E, you'll spend your days outside leading, laughing, creating, and being part of a supportive community you won't experience anywhere else.

Camp is hard work: high-energy, long hours, but deeply rewarding. We're looking for people who like a challenge and are passionate about making a difference. We truly believe this isn't just a summer job. It's a chance to grow, unplug, make lifelong friends, and develop durable, real-world skills. We can't wait to meet you!

What You'll Do

Champion inclusive dining.

Support the Head Chef and kitchen team in delivering delicious, safe meals for campers and staff with food allergies, dietary restrictions, and lifestyle choices like vegan and vegetarian. You'll help ensure everyone at camp enjoys tasty food that meets their needs.

Specialize in special diets.

Learn to design and prepare meals that are gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, vegetarian, and other dietary accommodations. You'll rotate through kitchen stations, learn ingredient substitutions, allergen protocols, and how to manage cross-contact in a camp kitchen environment.

Prioritize food safety & care.

Assist with routine allergen labelling, cross-contamination prevention, safe food handling, storage, and cleaning. Help maintain high standards of organization, hygiene, and documentation so every mealtime is both safe and welcoming.

Connect with the community.

Work closely with campers and staff to understand their dietary needs, answer questions, and make them feel seen and included. Be the friendly face in the dining hall someone trusts when they find their ideal meal.

Bring creativity to the table.

Whether it's a "Meatless Monday" vegan feast or a build-your-own allergy-safe dessert bar, you'll help bring fun, inclusive, and memorable food moments to camp. If you have ideas for new plant-based options or allergy-friendly treats: let's do it.

Lead with initiative.

Ask questions, propose recipe ideas, lead a station, or shadow the Head Chef, whatever helps you learn and grow. Our favorite phrase at K&E is "How can I help?" and it absolutely applies here. Your voice matters.

Build your skills & future.

Participate in team meetings, receive feedback, celebrate successes, reflect on how we can improve. By summer's end you'll have real-world experience in inclusive food service, allergy-safe operations, and community dining at scale.

About K&E
