Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to clients with substance use disorders. Conduct ASAM Assessments in line with best practices. Utilize evidence-based approaches, including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care. Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, medical providers, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive client care. Maintain accurate documentation to meet compliance and funding requirements. Support clients in developing coping strategies, relapse management plans, and life skills for sustained recovery.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
+ Alaska certification/licensure (or ability to obtain) as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (CDC-I).
+ Experience providing individual and group counseling for substance use disorders.
+ Strong knowledge of ASAM criteria, addiction treatment, and trauma-informed care.

Preferred:

+ Experience working in a residential or outpatient treatment setting.
+ Familiarity with state and federal regulations for behavioral health programs.
