Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our Northwood and Strafford teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood or elementary education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities

Be available to work a variety of shifts between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., depending on the needs of each location each week. Be flexible with working in age groups spanning from 1-13 years of age. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe and orderly space for children. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood and/or elementary education.

Required Experience

Experience working with children ages 1-13 years of age is preferred but not required, and Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and behavior management strategies preferred but not required, and Ability to work independently, or as a team member in a group setting, and Strong communication skills to professionally and effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues, and Desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners by providing them with the foundational skills they need for future success!
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
