Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students continue to engage with their educational material. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and have experience working with children.

Responsibilities

Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of education. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment. Educate students on various subjects while adapting to their individual learning needs. Assist with classroom management and support students in their daily activities. Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere for all students, including those with special needs. Engage in effective communication with students, staff, and parents as necessary. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Experience

Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to effectively address diverse student needs. Experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is a plus. Understanding of special education practices and how to support children with varying abilities. Some experience in a Montessori environment a plus!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $19.51 per hour
