QUALIFICATIONS:

Employees who already hold a Custodian classification will be accepted as duly qualified. Applicants shall successfully pass the classification test and receive satisfactory evaluations.

We will be offering the state mandated custodian test on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Calhoun Gilmer Career Center for any applicant that needs to take the test.




SALARY:

Pay Grade C

Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.

CLASS TITLE DEFINITION (Based on 18A-4-8):



1. Keep buildings clean and free of refuse.

2. Operate the heating and cooling systems.

3. Make minor repairs.

4. Perform duties in a support capacity including, but not limited to, facilitating in the instruction and direct or indirect supervision of pupils under the direction of a principal, a teacher, or another designated professional educator.
