Substance Use Specialist - ACT Team

Full time - Days

St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester is seeking a Substance Abuse Specialist to join our multi-discipline Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. This program provides mobile, evidence based, recovery oriented, psychiatric treatment to adults with mental illness in southern Westchester. Reporting to the Program Director, this position provides integrated dual-recovery treatment for our clients with co-occurring substance use disorders.


Job responsibilities include:


In collaboration with the multi-discipline team, provide assessment, treatment planning and direct services to ACT clients in the community. Provide substance use services based on the assessed needs of individual clients. Complete ongoing substance use assessments to monitor changes and updates for all ACT clients. Share knowledge and expertise with other team members, and integrate dual-recovery treatment with the services provided by the ACT Team.
Qualified candidates will have excellent communication and organization skills.


Requirements: Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), or NYS licensed social worker / mental health counselor with a CASAC- T. Valid driver's license.



Salary: $68-72k
