Job Description

To provide a clean comfortable, safe and attractive environment and to promote the mission of LCSD1.

MUST BE A CURRENT STUDENT WITH LCSD1

MISC/TEMP SALARY: $13.00/hour

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participates in daily work schedule of building and grounds cleaning.

2. Washes windows and doors.

3. Cleans chalkboards and white boards.

4. Dust mops resilient floors

5. Vacuums carpets

6. Cleans furniture

7. Picks up trash, empties pencil sharpeners and trash receptacles.

8. Assists with the moving of student furniture.

9. Dusts

10. Must wear appropriate clothing for the job, no sandals, tank tops etc.

11. Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Lifts and carries up to 25 lbs. with the aid of mechanical assistance.

2. Ability to work in a squatting, kneeling and standing position for an extended period of time.

3. Must be able to carry a backpack vacuum for three hours. (25 lbs)

4. Complies with all local, state and federal safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be fifteen (15) years of age.

2. Must be able to work independently.

3. Must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions.

4. Must be able to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of surfaces.

5. Must be able to recognize and report unsafe hazards.
