JOB SUMMARYThe Student Services Coach is an active and integral member of the Student Services team. TheCoach is responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive school environment that allows studentsto be known personally, challenged intellectually, and participate actively in their learning. The Coachis responsible for creating a respectful school culture that exemplifies the Sizer Six and for providingstaff with the needed tools and support to maintain classroom management. The Coach is highlyvisible within the school building.



The Student Services Coach is also responsible for processingbehavioral incidents and collaborating with the Assistant Principal and Manager of Student Servicesto track and manage data related to student behavior. The Coach communicates effectively withstudents, staff, and families.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (May include but not limited to: ) Supervises and monitors common areas during student arrival, lunch, and afternoon dismissal; Supports the Assistant Principal and other members of the Student Services Team in ensuring asafe and orderly school environment, including supporting the management of student issues,behavioral concerns, and crises; Responds to requests from teachers, staff and administrators to support student academicachievement and positive behavior; Supports teachers in the classroom to improve student behavior and academicperformance/achievement; Integrates Sizers restorative justice approach to student discipline; Directly supervises students who have been placed on disciplinary restriction, including in-schoolsuspension; Coordinates work retrieval for students placed on in-school suspension and provides appropriateacademic support; Models appropriate behavior and displays professional conduct at all times; Prepares documents and reports and maintains files that contain sensitive and confidentialinformation; Models and encourages community practices that are consistent with the Common Principles ofthe Coalition of Essential Schools; Adheres to the policies and procedures of Sizer School; maintains the confidentiality of studentinformation at all times; Remains highly visible during school hours; Reports concerns to an administrator in a professional and timely manner; and All other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience in a school setting working with at-risk youth preferred High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelors preferred Ability to effectively manage high stress situations and adapt to complex circumstances Strong ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills Familiarity with restorative justice model preferred Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality Familiarity with technology (Google Workspace) and basic office equipment Ability to pass CORI and National Criminal Background Check
