Job Summary



The research assistant will be trained in collecting and analyzing data in the Clinical Voice Studies Laboratory. The research assistant may be requires to work during the weekends or university holidays.

Ideal candidate:

currently pursuing a graduate degree in the College of Health or health related fields.



Responsibilities



1. Conduct Screening Assessments with patients to determine eligibility status for research studies. (Training provided)



2. Coordinate research activities including creating and maintaining databases. (Training provided)



3. Attend laboratory meetings and report to the group on progress of assigned duties.



4. Assist other laboratory staff in collecting biomechanics and neurophysiological data (Training provided).



5. Handle sensitive data in a professional manner that complies with all confidentiality rules and regulations.



6. Communicate clearly and effectively (both verbally and in writing) with colleagues, other members of the research team, and Principal Investigator.



7. Must be able to work independently while exhibiting a level of judgment that ensures participant safety and adherence to study protocols and procedures.



8. Flexibility in scheduling work hours around course schedule, as rates of recruitment span and fluctuate across the calendar year.

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
