JOB DUTIES

Provides specialized administrative services and coordinates functions related to administration of student financial aid programs.

Monitors and coordinates responses for the Student Aid email inbox, KEES email inbox, and Student Aid voice mailbox. Answers phone calls and responds to inquiries from students, parents, high schools, colleges, and others regarding programs administered in the Student Aid branch. Provides administrative assistance to the Director and staff of the Student Aid branch. Duties include performing research as needed, processing documents and mail, completing forms and reports, maintaining the supply inventory and ordering as needed, maintaining files, scheduling meetings. Coordinates updates to the agency websites for the state student aid programs administered in the Student Aid branch. Drafts changes for management approval and works with publications and technology staff as needed. Coordinates Academic Common Market (ACM) activity for the KEES program, preparing ACM rosters and maintaining records accordingly. Maintains a working knowledge of all grant and scholarship programs administered by KHEAA.
Requirements

High school graduate plus a minimum of one year of college education. Experience in student financial aid, educational administration, public administration, or financial administration, will substitute for the college education requirement. Computer experience working with word processing software and spreadsheets. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
