ABOUT BURLINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT
Burlington School District (BSD) is the largest, most diverse single-town school district in the state of Vermont. In School Year 2022-2023 (SY23), BSD served nearly 3,300 PreK - Grade 12 students across 12 centralized campuses and additional locations for Burlington Technical Center programs. This includes providing support for 465 PreK students through 51 different partner programs in the area. In SY24, Students in BSD came from homes representing 37 different first languages.

Integrated Arts Academy in the Burlington School District seeks a reliable Student Activity Monitor who enjoys working with children while maintaining a safe school climate. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the IAA community and may already be working part-time in the district.
Duties
  • Establish positive relationships with all students equally.
Teach and reinforce cafeteria expectations.
  • Teach and reinforce recess expectations.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other lunch monitors, teachers, and administration.
Work Hours:
This is a school-year position that begins August 27th, 2025.
Hours are 10:30am - 1:00pm on every school day. May vary depending on school schedule.
Working Conditions:

Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs.; pushing/pulling objects

  • Basic sense of touch, smell, and taste
  • Works independently and collaboratively with regular face-to-face interaction
