The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to support project demands is expected.

The Structured Cabling Technician 1 is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The incumbent provides front line field support for structured cabling including all grades of copper and fiber optic communications cabling. The Technician will attend approved training to ensure quality of support provided.

L DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Install all cables (voice, data, video etc.). Must be able to pull, route, terminate, and test successfully, various types of copper cabling and connectors (cat5, cat6, CATV coaxial, bundled cable, ground bonding wire, etc.). Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system issues. Work with power management at all locations including routine load testing of uninterruptible power systems and generators. Participate in the on-call rotation for after hours and weekend issues at the data centers and branch locations with generators and UPS systems larger than rack size units. Provide direct support to Telecommunications and Network Departments. Understand and ensure the proper use of pathways, plenum and non-plenum spaces, bonding and grounding, and firestopping. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

N and/or EXPERIENCE:



High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1 year of experience working in Structured Cabling or in a related work environment required. Valid driver's license required. Completion of Commscope training for cabling infrastructure solutions certifications preferred. Completion of Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) certifications preferred.

$17.30 - $20.55 per hour
