Responsibilities

Develop detailed steel fabrication and erection drawings using CAD software AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical schematics to produce comprehensive steel shop drawings that facilitate seamless manufacturing and installation processes. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and fabricators to coordinate design details, resolve conflicts, and optimize constructability.

Prepare detailed system designs for structural steel components with an emphasis on system integration and efficiency. Review project specifications, codes, standards, and client requirements to ensure compliance throughout the detailing process. Generate accurate schematics, technical drawings, 2D animations, and graphic representations for use in construction planning and client presentations. Assist in quality control by reviewing drawings for errors or inconsistencies before final submission. Maintain organized documentation of all drawings, revisions, and project correspondence for easy access and audit readiness. Support construction teams by providing clarification on drawings during fabrication or erection phases as needed.

Experience

Proven experience as a Steel Detailer or Structural Drafter within the construction or engineering industry. Proficiency in CAD-based software such as AutoCAD Strong understanding of structural steel systems, construction processes, and related standards. Experience working with schematics, technical drawings, system design documentation, and graphic design tools. Knowledge of mechanical design principles applicable to steel structures is a plus. Ability to interpret architectural plans alongside structural schematics effectively. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
