TRC Staffing is seeking an experienced Structural Project Engineer for our growing Structural Engineering Consulting firm based in Central Florida! This candidate can sit remotely in this region but must be able to travel onsite 1-2 days a month.
What You Will Do:
We have a remote work opportunity for a Project Engineer living in the Central Florida area to join our growing Florida team. Engineer would be responsible for entire project cycle to include design, development, and project completion in cold-formed steel projects. The Engineer will prepare engineering analyses and drawings for review by the supervisor. Typical projects would range from load bearing delegated engineering, curtainwall design and interior fit outs of projects ranging up to 8 stories.
Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Prepare engineering analysis of projects from preliminary design to final drawings and calculations
\xc2\xb7 Oversee and provide guidance of drafting of plans to represent your design.
\xc2\xb7 Coordinate information from outside design teams and contractors.
\xc2\xb7 Review plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices
\xc2\xb7 Work with comments from supervisors and incorporate into future projects to develop skills to lead future projects
\xc2\xb7 Work within established time periods and deadlines
\xc2\xb7 Handle multiple projects simultaneously
\xc2\xb7 Familiarize self with and select appropriate standard details for projects
\xc2\xb7 Markup, Layout, and Redline standard details for simple projects
\xc2\xb7 Work in groups with engineers from various offices.
\xc2\xb7 Review/Learn specs for projects on which you are working
\xc2\xb7 Review Construction Administration (CA) for projects on which you are working
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications:
\xc2\xb7 EIT license required, Professional Engineering license preferred.
\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in civil engineering
\xc2\xb7 3+ years of experience in the building structural design industry
\xc2\xb7 Experience in Revit.
\xc2\xb7 Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.
\xc2\xb7 Thorough knowledge of commercial building code and applicable structural design code material references.
Skills and Competencies:
\xc2\xb7 Thorough understanding of building design and construction, most specifically detailing of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, etc.
\xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required
\xc2\xb7 Ability to identify applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, on multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines, and bring each to successful completion
\xc2\xb7 Ability to produce adequate, understandable, organized calculations
\xc2\xb7 Ability to Prepare hand calculations and utilize computer programs to double check and enhance your work
