Stabilization Operator 1

Reports to: Stabilization Team Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Stabilization Operator 1 Summary:

This position is part of a Team responsible for the long-term stabilization of the limestone mine structure. The person occupying this position will ensure a safe and structurally sound facility through the execution of an engineered mine plan consisting of a variety of ground stabilization methods. The person occupying this position is expected to represent the Erlen Group in a professional and courteous manner.

Stabilization Operator 1 Duties/Responsibilities:

Inspect rock columns and ceilingspredominantly inan undeveloped undergroundmine Remove loose material found on rock surfaces by hand scaling and/or with a mechanical scaling machine in a safe manner Operatevarious typesof heavy equipment and miningequipment Assistwith ground stabilization methods, i.e., roof bolting, roof mats, shotcrete, grout injection, pillar wraps, etc. Perform preventative maintenance or other minor repairs to ensure that equipment is in good workingorder Perform work in a safe manner andcomply withsafety programs andpolicies

Stabilization Operator 1 Skills/Abilities:

High levelof comfort with heightsand physical exertion Attention to detail and heightened awareness ofsafety Self-motivated with the ability to workindependently Strong verbal communication Strongproblem solvingskills

Stabilization Operator 1 Education/Experience:

Required:Valid Drivers' License Preferred: Underground miningknowledge andexperience Preferred: Heavy equipment operator

Stabilization Operator 1 Physical and/or Travel Requirements:

Frequent lifting of up to 80 pounds Long periodsof overhead work must be tolerated The ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time
