Enterprise Engineering Consultants, Ltd. is a nationally recognized structural consulting firm specializing in glulam and solid sawn timber engineering and drafting as well as wood and steel park shelters. EEC is a small firm that was established in 1971 and is located in the city of Peshtigo, WI, approximately 1 hour north of Green Bay. EEC is in need of a structural drafter. Our drafting team plays a key role by acting as the hub of design information between the architect/engineer/contractor and our own engineering team, and translating that information into building layout, 3D models and shop drawings which are used for fabrication and erection on the jobsite. The responsibilities of the Structural Drafter at EEC will include the preparation of shop drawings, 3D models, sketching of design details, and coordination of each project with the design teams. By working on a project from start to finish and coordinating information with the architect/engineer/contractor, our in-house engineers and fabrication shops you will ensure project designs are accurate, buildable, and erectable. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities along with professional oral and written communication skills. Applicants need to have a strong background in mathematics, geometry, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office products and be able to multi-task several projects at one time. Training in structural drawing and/or knowledge of construction processes is preferred. Experience with Autodesk Inventor or other 3D programs is an asset. An associate degree in a drafting or design related field or an equivalent combination of skills and experience is preferred. Working from home is an option.
