About us:

At Salute Medical Transportation, we are dedicated to providing exceptional emergency medical services to our communities. We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate stretcher drivers to join our team as stretcher crew members.

As a stretcher crew member, the role involves safely moving patients and equipment within and between healthcare facilities. You will often use a stretcher, wheelchair or other transport devices. This is often a non-emergency role.

Responsibilities:

Transport patients to and from departments (e.g., patient rooms, operating rooms, diagnostic areas). Assist patients with moving to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers. Ensure patient comfort and safety, including properly securing patients during transport. Communicate with nurses, doctors, and other staff to coordinate patient movement. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families. Transport lab specimens, equipment, and other items as needed. Operate and maintain the cleanliness of transport equipment. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and patient privacy (HIPAA) protocols.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is often preferred but not always required. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, physical stamina, compassion, and attention to detail.
