Key Responsibilities



Provide exceptional coaching and support to Members using the Starting Strength Method when approved by the Head Coach. Monitor Member progress and ensure adherence to programming and technique. Build positive relationships with Members, fostering a culture of trust and encouragement. Maintain a professional and welcoming gym environment. Collaborate with the team to continuously improve the Member Experience.

Requirements



Strong customer service background, ideally in fitness, hospitality, or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for helping others achieve their goals. Willingness to complete Starting Strength training and development.

Coach Development



Attend weekly coach development meetings. Begin the

Starting Strength Coach Prep Course

within the first six months

.

Shadow Group Training, Intro, and Semi-Private sessions. Begin or continue your own

Novice Linear Progression (NLP)

under a Coach's supervision. Read

Starting Strength: Basic Barbell Training

and

Practical Programming for Strength Training.

Attend at least one

Coach Development Camp

and one

Starting Strength Seminar

within the first six months. Begin coaching warm-up and work sets when approved by the Head Coach.

Operations



Open and close the gym. Clean and maintain equipment and facility. Check inventory and re-stock as needed.

Skills & Knowledge



Customer service and communication Starting Strength method and novice programming (training provided) Equipment use and maintenance AED, First Aid, and CPR certified (or willingness to obtain) Attention to detail and safety awareness
