Position Summary




As a Procurement intern at Life Time it is an opportunity to develop and implement critical/ strategic business solutions. This process lends itself to autonomy in setting agenda, workflow and output, where the individual will have the full support and backing of the manager and the broader Procurement team. You will have the opportunity to become an instrumental part of the total organizations supply chain activities, reporting, analytics, supplier negotiations, project implementation, internal business stakeholder engagement, and supplier management.



Previous Intern Projects have included:



Independently conducted and managed competitive bid processes (RFx event) for key strategic spend categories Supplier optimization project to materially reduce the number of preferred suppliers in our supplier master catalog for efficiency and consolidation purposes Individual managed a project to expand the organizations diverse supplier network Strategically sourced eco-friendly products for company-wide sustainability initiatives Led an enterprise-wide project to expand recycling and composting across all locations Individual developed an alternative solution to a traditional delivery process further reducing our plastic consumption while decreasing labor expenses




Job Duties and Responsibilities



Perform data analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation (improved quality, cost, service, and compliance) Perform liaison work between Procurement and key clients, ensuring efficient supply chain methods Provide support for sourcing projects including data analysis and supplier interface Facilitate supplier presentations Develop and execute competitive bids (RFx events); participate in supplier negotiations Perform external market assessment and opportunity analysis Develop and manage stakeholder and supplier relationships and contract implementations Develop and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with business initiatives and priorities Participate in organization-wide ESG (Environment Social Governance) initiatives

Position Requirements



Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Logistics, Economics, Finance or related field. Currently maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or higher Must possess a passion for Life Time's mission Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision Professional demeanor, focused, articulate, and well organized Highly motivated self-starter Ability to give/receive constructive feedback Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.75 and pays up to $24.00, based on experience and qualifications.
