Storeroom Material Manager

Job Description





We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented materials manager to lead our storeroom team and our 3PL team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in running a food service storeroom. They are expected to ensure steady workflow, productivity and resolving operational issues in our newly developed frozen food production facility In Newark (NJ).




Essential Functions


Managing the movement of product to and from our 3PL and ensure documentation is accurate, verifying dates, quantities, and lot numbers Oversee the products life cycle from procurement to distribution Work with Production Planner on production goals Work with Lineage and the production planner to ensure all product is available for the day's operation Do not allow excess decanting past the daily usage Support the team by designing a flow for all refrigerated areas, decreasing safety concerns and double handling Identify opportunities and strategies to reduce risk and achieve cost savings In conjunction with the FSQ team evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, the suppliers' ability to support required delivery schedules Oversee Lineage communication, and performance Overseas receiving storing, shipping, and inventory controls Provides hands-on supervision for the warehouse staff, executing daily activities and ensuring efficiency Collaborate with production teams to align material flow with production schedules and capacity requirements Participate in internal and external quality audits, providing necessary documentation and support Provide exceptional internal customer service, respond promptly and professionally Maintain proper shelf labelling and organization of all stocked supplies in designated areas Determine cadence for trucking companies' deliveries and pick-ups Work with production and supply chain to ensure compliance with quantity in and out daily Ability to solve quality and quantity-related problems. Knowledge of food safety and USDA standards Handle production disruptions and productivity problems. Manage the SAGE system for inbound and outbound product Any task assigned by Manager. Easily access Starbucks porthole






Skills and Qualifications



o Two years' experience in like position


o Team builder

o Excellent computer, and communication skills


o Knowledge of HACCP requirements, USDA, GMP, and sanitation requirements.

o Knowledge of cold food production processes

o Candidate bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

o Forklift certified


o Time management skills







Supervisory Responsibility



This position has supervisory responsibilities of the warehouse team 2 supervisors, and 21 associates




Work Environment



This job operates in a refrigerated warehouse environment.




Physical Demands



Must be able to bend, lift 50 pounds, and be able to stand throughout a workday.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and stand for long periods of time and reach with hands and arms.



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work



This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment. Flexibility with weekdays, evenings, and weekends is required.
