Department: Grocery FLSA : Non-Exempt General Function
Responsible for assisting in coordination and execution of area events, promotions, programs and sponsorships in the designated metro market. This individual will also have primary responsibility for guidance and oversight of digital strategy utilizing various tactics including social media and digital marketing. Candidate must be self-motivated, have a professional attitude, possess excellent communication skills, maintain attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task between multiple projects and manage on-going deadlines. Accountable and Reports to: District Store Director; Store Manager, Assistant Manager HWH, Perishables, and Store Operations
Direct Reports: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
  • Create and execute various digital promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain a detailed digital content calendar.
  • Develop original content for day-to-day social media posts.
  • Assist area stores with management of social medial content and individual store promotions.
  • Work with marketing director and vendors to build local sponsorships and community programs.
  • Assist in pre-event planning and day of event execution for various community and sponsorship related events.
  • Compile summary of donation event totals, collect store funds and coordinate with charity organizations.
  • Be available to represent Hy-Vee at local events, presentations and promotions.
  • Have a working knowledge of the following programs and social media platforms: Outlook, Word, Excel, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Reports to work and works the scheduled amount of time.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides media credits and charges to stores at inventory.
  • Represents Hy-Vee at functions.
  • Responsible for payments to renew memberships.
  • Assists in other areas of store as needed.
  • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Maintaining company standards, assigning work, planning the work of others, and coordinating activities.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in marketing or related area, or equivalent work experience preferred. Proficiency with internet marketing and pay-per-click advertising, in addition to a working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to physically perform light work exerting a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics
  • Must have the ability to use logical or scientific thinking to solve problems and with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Must be able to report, write, or edit articles for publication; prepare deeds, leases, or mortgages, prepare and deliver lectures; interview, counsel or advise people; evaluate technical data.
Working Conditions
This position is continually exposed to money for reconciliation purposes. This is a fast paced work environment with significant pressure to meet deadlines.
