DESCRIPTION
The Store Manager is responsible for all staffing, sales, and operations in a Scooter's Coffee location. This role builds and leads a friendly, service-oriented barista team, sets a high-energy work pace, drives sales, increases profit, and demonstrates an engaged management style. The Store Manager exemplifies Scooter's Coffee core values.
DELIVER AN EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Ensure consistent, high-quality service by maintaining proper staffing levels, coaching beverage craftsmanship, and reinforcing Scooter's "Amazing" guest experience expectations.
Maintain a clean, inviting, and safe store environment that reflects brand standards at all times.
LEAD, DEVELOP & EMPOWER A HIGH-PERFORMING TEAM
Recruit, hire, and onboard team members who bring positivity, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Provide continuous coaching, feedback, and development tailored to individual strengths and motivators.
Use progressive discipline appropriately and in partnership with HR/Field Brand Consultants when needed.
Create depth on the team by cross-training and cultivating internal leadership talent.
DRIVE SALES, PROFITABILITY & OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Set and monitor team performance metrics, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Identify sales-building opportunities (upselling, speed-of-service improvements, product mix strategy, customer connection).
Manage labor and inventory to achieve targeted cost controls.
Oversee all cash handling, POS operations, safety procedures, and financial reporting with precision.
Maintain accountability for daily operations, store standards, and overall performance.
PLAN, ORGANIZE & EXECUTE FOR SUCCESS
Build weekly schedules that balance labor needs, peak traffic demands, and talent development.
Safely and efficiently handle merchandise and equipment (lifting up to 40 lbs).
Complete all required training modules and ensure team compliance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS)
Required
Ability to train in Omaha, NE and work offsite for one week as needed.
Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and influence a team.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
High energy, adaptability, and a passion for people.
Strong administrative, multi-tasking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Customer-first mindset with the ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs.
3+ years of leadership or management experience in quick-service, retail, or hospitality.
Demonstrated success improving sales performance and operational results.
Experience training teams, managing labor/inventory, and building positive culture.
