We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to lead an established and busy retail store in downtown Northampton. The job will likely start as soon as possible on a part-time basis-about 24 hours per week. We expect this position to go full time on or about January 2nd. The store manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales performance. Responsibilities
Oversee daily store operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Manage inventory control processes

Conduct employee orientation and ongoing training programs to ensure high levels of customer service.
Handle payroll processing
Prepare reports on sales trends and inventory levels.
Supervise cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with financial policies.

Engage in recruiting efforts to attract top talent for the store team.
Skills
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
Proficient in employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and recruitment processes.
Experience in payroll management and bookkeeping practices.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and retail math principles.
Proven management experience -retail sales a plus, with a focus on customer service excellence.

Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
