The position's primary duty is the management of the total operations of the store including ensuring the overall profitability of store operations. Serves as the primary mentor and sales leader in the store. This position customarily and regularly directs the work of associates working at the store and, therefore, the individual in this position must possess the ability to effectively and fairly communicate with all associates ensuring that standards are kept and that goals are attained. This position is responsible for assessing associates' productivity and efficiency, apportioning the work among the associates, handling associate complaints and grievances, disciplining associates, planning the work at the store, assessing and tracking the profitability of the location including sales, margin, payroll expense and delivery, achieving the sales and margin goals as outlined, visiting customers, participating in sales calls, teaching and mentoring in-store associates how to sell, and for the maintenance of the location and for preserving company assets and providing for the safety and security of the associates or the property.
