A Store Manager is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering employee growth, while effectively managing a profitable business in accordance with established guidelines and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Establishes and sustains an in-store culture focused on driving sales growth by: implementing company merchandising initiatives and weekly sales strategies across all departments, planning and executing targeted weekly sales themes, maintaining optimal inventory levels throughout the store, and facilitating regular with store owners.
Provides for desired levels of customer satisfaction, courtesy, and service throughout the store, with special emphasis on our front-end fast service commitment.
Accountable for achieving budgeted financial results.
Safeguards company assets, including merchandise, cash, facilities, and equipment. Performs weekly management audits of front-end operations, DSD receiving, and pricing activities. Maintains direct accountability for implementing and monitoring all required shrink management programs.
Effectively controls store variable expenses, including achieving budgeted wage percent.
Responsible for managing store staffing, which includes predicting hiring needs, recruiting new team members, and overseeing their training. Also, create a talent pipeline for the store by developing and implementing growth plans for employees identified as highly potential or ready for promotion.
Ensures direct reports have a clear understanding of performance expectations, holds them accountable for achieving budgeted outcomes, and conducts regular reviews of their performance, including ongoing feedback and annual appraisals.
Constant awareness and reaction to store conditions through frequent and detailed store walks.
Trains and develops store management, especially co-managers, to maintain a strong leadership pipeline for growth; serves as a resource for these leaders.
Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are maintained throughout the store
Creates an atmosphere that ensures positive store morale through effective supervisory treatment and recognition. The workforce should be enthusiastic, customer focused and embedded in a selling culture.
Provides and facilitates effective communications to owners, and store employees.
Ensure stores are run in compliance with company standards
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and company policies.
Maintains a safe facility for customers and employees.
Qualifications:
The incumbent should possess the skills and knowledge generally associated with a bachelor's degree and or 3 - 4 years progressive supermarket management experience.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
