Store Manager

Job Summary:

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing staff, driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining inventory. The Store Manager will also assist budgeting, financial planning, and compliance with health and safety regulations. They play a key role in setting sales targets, analyzing performance data, and implementing promotional strategies to boost store performance.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm (some Saturdays)

Work Location:

Charleston, SC (in-person)

Salary & Benefits:

$65,000.00 annual, Health Insurance, including Dental & Vision / 401k / Life / Accident

Commissions:

1% of store net sales over $150,000 but less than $225,000 & 2% of store net sales over $225,000 paid monthly

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations at Charleston Lighting & Interiors

Report on sales, revenues and expense reports, along with forecasts for management

Supervise and mentor the Charleston Lighting & Interiors team

Aid in the implementation of the new software system

Set and meet sales goals by effectively managing the sales team

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships

Oversee inventory management

Requirements:

Several years of experience in retail, often including roles as Assistant Manager Strong leadership and team management abilities to effectively supervise and motivate staff Excellent customer service skills to handle customer inquiries and complaints Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and customers Ability to handle unexpected issues and resolve conflicts Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage store operations efficiently Understanding budgeting, financial planning and inventory management Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive business growth
