JOB DESCRIPTION



Store Manager oversees daily store operations and provides leadership and direction to achieve profitable operation of the assigned retail store. Executes company policies, procedures, and programs to meet or exceed sales and gross margin goals as well. You will be responsible for coaching, training, and developing the staff, ensuring they provide exceptional customer experience, motivate staff for success, and implement strategies to increase sales. The role is expected to be a role model of the company by driving results while maintaining company core values.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Coordinates all store activities in a manner that maximizes sales, profits, and customer satisfaction; Responsible for interviewing, hiring, discipling, and training of all associates; Maintains a high level of customer service by ensuring that service standards are high and that complaints from customers are quickly resolved; Maintains interior and exterior store standards; ensures merchandise presentation is in accordance with company direction; Implements safety and shrink best practices; Develops and implements creative plans to increase store sales and decrease losses; Maintains communication with Operation Manager to stay abreast of company initiatives; Including but not limited to staffing plans, performance evaluations, and training new employees and providing ongoing development and education for employees; Prepares all necessary reports and paperwork; Performs other related duties as assigned by management; Responsible for enforcing all company rules and policies. Ensures that all employees comply with safety policies and procedures; Responsible for monitoring and reporting store sales, gross and labor numbers; Makes weekly projections on sales, gross and labor; Schedules store management and oversees store personnel scheduling; Monitors and enforces punctuality of all employees and ensures their compliance with the company's time clock policies; Develops and executes merchandising techniques and appropriate employee training, to increase sales and develop more efficient store operations in order to meet changing customer requirements and the company's strategic goals; Attends bi-weekly manager meetings; Ability to understand and comply with EEO,OSHA,ADA, SNAP program, WIC program, and state liquor regulations; Enforces departmental procedures for safety, proper food handling, and sanitation according to local, state, and federal health code regulations; Conducts store walks with Health Department/Weights and Measures representatives; Conducts in-depth store walks; Trains, supervises, and mentors all employees; Ensures that proper procedures are being followed in order to meet out-of-stock percentage goals; Responsible for reviewing and approving all invoicing; Responsible for reviewing and approving all documentation sent to the corporate office; Knowledgeable in daily balancing and bank deposit preparation; Enforces cash control policies and performs booth audits; Must be knowledgeable of duties and responsibilities of every position in every department. Holds weekly safety meetings; Maintains communication with Director of Operations; Establishes and maintains an open-door policy; Responsible for receiving all incoming mail and transmitting relevant information to store employees; Directly supervises all employees within the front store department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems;

KNOWLEDGE ABILITIES REQUIRED

:

The individual must be able to perform all of the duties listed in the Essential Job; Functions/Responsibilities in an efficient and satisfactory manner; Strong math and reading skills; Ability to manage stress and remain cool under pressure; Strong communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and upper management; Must have initiative, be dependable, and provide excellent customer service; Must have the initiative to continue personal development; Ability to work with limited supervision and solve practical problems independently; Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates; Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing
priorities with enthusiasm;

Responsible for all Safety Programs and safety training. Promotes safety and ZERO accident culture;

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:



2 years plus of experience in a progressive retail operations role; High school diploma or GED required, some college education preferred; Ability to speak, read, write, and understand both English and Spanish sufficiently to understand conversations, presentations, company manuals, forms and documents; Knowledge of retail operations and shrink reduction plans; Proficient computer skills in the areas of e-mail and internet required; Commitment to excellence and high standards; Excellent written and presentation and oral communication skills; Basic competence in subordinates' duties and tasks; Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; Ability to manage priorities and workflow; Lead by example on the importance of customer service excellence engages with customers; Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions; Creative, flexible, and innovative team player; Professional appearance and demeanor; Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various; Valid driver's license; Ability to work evenings from time to time and weekends required;

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT



Constant standing, walking, sitting, and talking; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; Daily work with computers, printers, telephones, and other office equipment; Must have a flexible schedule; evening, weekend and holiday work is required; There may be abrupt changes in temperature while moving from one environment to another; Exposure to outside climate, wet floors, and noise; Exposure to sharp items, heavy machinery, and hot surfaces; Exposure to high and low temperatures, including refrigerated coolers and storage areas;

Pay: $68,000.00 - $76,800.00 per year
