We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of store functions. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales performance. The Store Manager will be instrumental in maintaining a positive shopping environment, optimizing inventory control, and implementing effective merchandising strategies to meet business goals.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance to foster a high-performing team
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth shift management and adherence to company policies
Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure exceptional customer service experiences
Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge
Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions and inventory tracking
Develop and execute sales management strategies to achieve revenue targets
Supervise stocking, merchandising displays, and overall store cleanliness to ensure an inviting shopping environment
Qualifications
Proven management experience in retail environments with supervisory responsibilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer engagement
Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS software, cash handling, and retail math calculations
Experience in employee recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training & development programs
Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of budgeting processes and administrative procedures including bookkeeping tasks
Demonstrated ability to handle customer service issues professionally using phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills
Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred; leadership qualities essential for success in this role
