Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Store Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the store's appearance. This role offers an opportunity to develop retail skills in a fast-paced environment, supporting daily store operations and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

Duties

Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Assist customers with product inquiries and provide product demos when applicable Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure attractive displays and proper inventory levels Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and balancing registers Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including merchandising and stocking shelves Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Support inventory management through stock replenishment and product rotation Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Assist with supervising or mentoring new staff or interns as needed Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations Strong communication skills and phone etiquette for customer interactions Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse customer base Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos is desirable Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed; prior experience in grocery or retail stores is beneficial
Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour

High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:

Liquor sales: 1 year (Preferred)
