Job Description

Assists customers purchasing items from The Salvation Army by ringing up sales utilizing a cash register,

Counts monies, counts change and prepares receipts, prepares packages and purchased items

Prepares and balances the cash drawer and runs routine register print outs and ensures the security of the register

Maintains store orderliness and cleanliness

Assists in pricing and tagging items and sorts donated items and rotates merchandise

Knowledge of effective customer service techniques

Ability to meet attendance requirements

Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively

Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing and some climbing

Ability to push, pull and carry light to heavy objects ( up to 50 lbs.)
