Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Store Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for helping customers find what they need. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, but not required. Responsibilities

Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos, and offer recommendations to enhance their shopping experience Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store is well-organized and visually appealing Perform upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales Maintain proper merchandising standards and ensure products are accurately priced and labeled Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels and assisting with stocking procedures Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction Support supervising staff with daily operations as needed, including supervising product demos or assisting in training new team members Uphold phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors

Qualifications

Previous retail sales experience preferred; familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers in a professional manner Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures Ability to perform merchandising tasks, stock shelves, and manage inventory effectively Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive demeanor Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional communication in a retail environment
