Washington Granite - Fabrication Manager (Now Hiring)
Washington Granite is now open to the public. To support our growth, we are seeking a Fabrication Manager (also fabrication skilled team members) to oversee daily fabrication operations, manage shop workflow, and ensure quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Managing fabrication shop operations and staff
Overseeing production schedules and workflow
Ensuring quality control and safety standards
Coordinating with sales, templating, and installation teams
Qualifications:
Experience in stone/granite/quartz fabrication
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Knowledge of cutting, polishing, and shop processes preferred
Duties
Supervise daily stone fabrication activities, including template , cutting, shaping, polishing, and finishing processes
Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure timely delivery of custom stone products
Oversee the operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts, , and machining tools to support fabrication tasks
Maintain strict safety protocols across all operations, including heavy equipment operation and production procedures
Manage inventory of countertop materials and finished products within warehouse environments
Implement quality control measures to ensure all fabricated stone meets design specifications and industry standards
Train and mentor team members in fabrication techniques, machinery operation, and safety procedures
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to streamline workflows and reduce waste
Skills
Extensive knowledge of stone fabrication techniques and processes including cutting, polishing, c and finishing
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, concrete mixers, welding tools, and machining machinery
Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience with manufacturing or construction environments emphasizing safety compliance
Skilled in welding, concrete forming, and concrete finishing techniques
Warehouse experience for managing inventory flow efficiently
Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a culture of safety and quality excellence
