At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), the

Stocker Supervisor

plays a central leadership role in the daily delivery and stocking operations that support both commercial and residential construction projects. This position oversees drivers, stockers, and driver/stocker teams to ensure materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with FBM's service standards. With a strong focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team leadership, the Stocker Supervisor ensures that deliveries meet jobsite requirements while maintaining compliance, coordination, and safety throughout all operations.


Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Material Handling

Manage and coordinate all daily delivery operations and communications with customers and jobsite contacts Serve as a liaison between Sales, Operations/Branch Management, and on-site construction representatives Schedule company trucks daily and ensure all deliveries are executed safely and on time Provide real-time instruction to drivers when logistical or customer service issues arise

Team leadership & Oversight

When required, participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories Supervise drivers, stockers, and driver/stockers to ensure duties are completed accurately, safely, and to company standards Monitor team performance, identify problem areas, and implement corrective solutions Communicate concerns or operational issues directly to the Operations Manager or Branch Manager

Timekeeping, Scheduling & Compliance

Approve weekly payroll hours, timecards, and driver schedules Verify accuracy of all recorded hours and ensure staffing levels meet operational needs Ensure all team members comply with company policies, DOT regulations, and OSHA safety standards

Inventory & Verification

Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories as required Maintain stable inventory levels using independent discretion and sound judgment Verify truck loads and ensure materials are properly secured before departure

Safety & Work Environment

Enforce and model all safety guidelines, promoting a culture where safety comes first Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment Ensure proper PPE usage and adherence to safe lifting and handling procedures

Additional Duties

Attend required meetings related to operations and deliveries Support customer-focused service delivery without compromising safety Perform other duties as assigned by management

Miscellaneous

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience/training required General knowledge of forklift operation and related equipment Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations Building materials warehouse experience and previous supervisory experience preferred

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
