Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Assistant to join our in store team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, assisting with shipping and receiving, and supporting overall store operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and operating warehouse equipment (primarily pallet jacks). Bilingual abilities and previous retail or grocery store experience are a plus to enhance customer service and team collaboration.

Duties

Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment Stock shelves, produce sections, or storage areas with incoming products, maintaining proper merchandising standards Assist with packaging, shipping, and receiving processes to ensure timely order fulfillment Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of store areas to uphold standards (including but not limited to taking out the trash and mopping/vacuuming) Support retail sales activities by replenishing stock, assisting customers, and maintaining organized displays (including but not limited to putting fabric on racks and re-coordinating) Utilize strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and provide excellent customer service Conduct inventory counts and assist in cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels

Qualifications

Previous stock experience in a retail environment preferred Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided if necessary) Capable of heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds) regularly throughout the shift Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and merchandising tasks Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer interaction Experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or customer service environments is advantageous Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks efficiently Basic knowledge of retail math for stock calculations and inventory adjustments

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
