Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, home community care, and long-term care facilities. As an STNA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by delivering personalized care and assistance.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide support for patients with special needs, including those requiring dementia care or pediatrics. Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and needs. Assist in mobility and transport of patients within the facility or during emergency situations. Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies. Participate in training and continuing education to enhance skills in critical care, geriatrics, emergency medicine, and working with people with disabilities.

Requirements

Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification. Previous experience in patient care preferred; experience in critical care or emergency medicine is a plus. Knowledge of dementia care techniques and familiarity with pediatrics is advantageous. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in nursing practice.
